So.........Its Friday at the Office....

Well we here in the Deep Deep South,  we hit  99 degrees around 1:37pm with humidity about 62%...

So, I was out and about getting a few errands ran, before the Friday traffic.. hits cause most folks are leaving town... being that the 4th is on a Wednesday.. its time for Louisianans to hit the beach.. Yuck.. I would rather hit a cold mountain stream..... and a nice summer night around 60 instead of 82 degrees.

So, I meandered back to the office in the Heat... of the Day.. .. kicked the boots up on the desk ...

It's Friday... in the Lil City by the Red...its Hot, Sweaty, and a lil bit Yucky... however got to Love it.

Kickin the Boots up on a Late Friday Afternoon.... Isn't it Five O'clock Yet.......

White Bucks.... on a Wednesday

Its Hot... Its the Deep Deep South... Its the Lil' City by the Red.... Its the end of June...Almost!!

July, August, or Labor Day.... is Not Here Just Yet.......

It is a White Bucks' Wednesday, with Seersucker Trousers .... cause... ya kno.... Its Hot OutSide...

Its 97 degrees with 65% humidity...  ... That means here in the Deep Deep South... You Sweat walking to the car from the office which is only lest than 100 feet away....

So in honor of The Sweat.... its a White Bucks Day...on a Wednesday!!!!

Monday ....

Part of my duties is to perform special duties with folks who need a lil' special attention...

Trying to get them to realize that they are at that door step, if they open that door, that they will fall into the Abyss  ..... that bottomless chasm of despair..... their Self, Family, Career will be ruined...

I had such an individual this morning.... a college student.... brilliant ... full of charisma... a youthful Soul.... bound on that train, buying that Ticket ...... to Failure...

Step back .... I believe according to all .... this Person..... Ran away from That Door.. hopefully the Person... won't step back and try to turn that door knob.....

As I was deciding what to wear this morning... I reached in the shoe closet and said......

I've got Sad News

My dear Momma would call sometimes, and begin the conversation over the telephone... with....

Tommy, I've got some Sad News.......

Well today... I have some Sad News.....

As with most Criminal Justice areas in the South, we use trusty labor to reduce our cost, it is rather therapeutic for Everyone Concerned... it gets the inmate out the cell, they get to work and have some freedom, the staff gets to converse, talk, to someone that they might not ordinarily run into in Life... a Bond is Formed.. just because of the Interaction between Human Beings......etc etc...

We had a man who was a trusty, here at the Courthouse, his name was Mike, on the street, he was known as Big Mike. He had a family, they would come see him when he was working around the office, we got to know them, his kids, his common law wife, Momma, brothers and sisters... its just that way... here in the Deep Deep South...

On Sunday, he was gunned down, in his front yard, seven bullets, it took to send him to Heaven... Mike was 6'3", Muscled, tremendous bi-ceps, etc..

Our office is sad today, when the idenification that it was Mike.... we have reached out to his family....

But the Greater Crime here is the violence Within the African American Community...  .. the Disregard for Human Life...

I do have Sad News... as Momma would say.... but the Sadder News is we as a Society and in the African American Communities in the South and Across the Nation... this level of Violence is now Accepted... ...

It Never Can Be Accepted....

Back to the Key Board

Well......... I'm back in business.... the MacBook Pro was repaired by the certified Apple Tech here in the Lil City by the Red... ...


He told me that I might need to be thinking of a new Mac one day... this is my second MacBook Pro... he said it was manufactured mid 2012.

I think it will hold me for at lest 3 more years... all I do is emails, write on this blog, and a few other things...

No MacBook Pro

I’ve been without a laptop.


My Mac is down, the power button which is tied to the keyboard is inoperable .

So, it’s  at the Mac Doctor

Hopefully it will be home soon

I’m using  the iPad at the moment.

Yuck all the way around

My MacBook Pro is on the blink. It’s been a pain in the rear. All my accounts, passwords, etc is on that computer. Thank the good Lord that I maintain a hard copy list of all passwords accounts etc.

I am using my iPad at the present time to write in the blog.

I’ve been under the weather with a chest/head cold infection all week. Yuck !!!!!


I again have learned or re-learned another hard life’s lesson, stemming from the previous post, last one in May.


I have cut ties and withdrawn from those elements that could, would, and to some extent have in the past given me concern.


All I can say is Yuck !!!!!
