I am in NM.

At my sister's house in Tesuque NM

Lovely home, high in the mountain desert.

She was very gracious to let me stay here.

I will be headed back to La later.

Well before I left for NM, I thought I would share a few pics.

I am about to head out of town here within the next ten days.

Headed back to NM.

Up in the mtns..away from civilized life...from the hub and rub of La. politics. Its a good time to get away. Things are heating up all over the place.

From lil Jeeeenaw (which by the way is only 38 miles from here) to the happenings around the capitol. The Governor's election is set for Oct. 20th.

I leave on Sept 29. and will come back sometime around the election day to VOTE...!!!!....vote my Heart.....vote my Mind...!!!!

These are Wilma's four o'clocks. They came from my Momma's yard. Her name was Wilma Ruth, born on Christmas Day before the Great Depression. Her father named her Ruth from the Bible.

Every time I walk out my back porch screen door, I see Momma's Four O'Clocks. I smell them as they begin to open up in the very late afternoon.

It brings back fond memories of years past.

Just a Saturday afternoon thought.

God rest your Soul Momma, I remember those Saturday evenings at your house.

I am suppose to be going back to H Town today for a B Day party for Troy. I know that Scott and him will be very disappointed, but my world ain't so good at the moment...I just don't want to get in the suv and head to H Town and be a drag ....!!!!

I have had somewhat of an off week. Things are happening on the political front that are sort of not so good. This is an election yr here in La. and always there is some sort of up heavel. This year is no exception.
So I am staying up in the grandstands, eating my popcorn and keeping my mouth full, you won't have to gossip if you keep your mouth full of popcorn. Watch the side lines and enjoy the game.

Which brings me to my decision to "get out of Dodge".

I am ready.

Please hurry up...

The trip to SA was a good one. Lil Sister home is coming along nicely.

Second pic is either remi or ru, i can never tell them apart from a distance (Lil Sister's two labs from the same litter)

Third pic is looking from her back yard onto her property over the hill and beyond.

Even tho it was a good trip and the new suv preformed beautifully (gas mileage was right at 21 per gal.) I am always glad to be home on the Red Bricks.

I am back from SA Tx. Saw the lil sister.

All is ok there...the two girls Remi and Ru are doing fine also.

The Lil Sister and I did some shopping, but didnt really make it into town. La Canterra was the closes we got to hitting any big store.

I did take a few pics of H Town going over there. Stopped and had lunch with Troy the lawyer at the corner of San Flippe and 610 he was working on a Saturday...some Greek Cafe.

Then it was on the road again, back to the Red River Valley.

Made the trip in good time. I am invited back to H Town next Saturday for Troy's B Day party. I should go, but two weeks in Texxxasss might put me under.

Here is the station at the Red River JCT on the bike trip the other day.

Its Tuesday.

I got a call from the Lil' Sister over the weekend. Since I haven't had a road trip and my need for some family interaction I made the decision to ride west.

So, I will be passing the Sabine River here in the next day or so, going thru H Town and then on to SA Tx.

Spend a few days over there, then head home. So, its to the office today for a short visit, then call Chip to take care of the house. Finish any laundry, pick up from the dry cleaners, and gas up the new ride...head out maybe Wednesday.

Did the river bike trip this morning. Fairly good trek, 12 or 14 miles depends on how u figured it. Took us about an hour 20 minutes, we stopped and took some pics.

Roy and I did the trek. Good workout tho.

Monday Monday

About to bike down the street and around town. I have been thinking about including some scenes from the downtown area and the river front.

If I lug the camera along today I will.

I can feel it in my bones, a road trip is near. I am thinking about going out to SA Tx here to see the lil sister. More than likely leave on Wednesday and return some times on Saturday.

Also, as things heat up in the Capitol City, I am feeling like its time to head to the house. Pushing up my retirement from the office. Its hard to imagine that I started right out of college, have been with the same system for 30 yrs. I feel that I am still young, maybe not in gay terms, but relatively speaking. Cause we all know gay is youth...!

I am just totally worn out by the politics, the 'oh, I am right crowd, cause I know the Lord crowd'; they are sort of like Senator C from Idaho. So righteous, so full of themselves, with total indignation for everyone that doesn't hold their views. This crowd of politicians thinks everyone is corrupt if you don't belong to this conservative neo-who ever group.

I will be glad when I can move on to a less complicated assignment and leave my 30 yrs of public service behind.

Its election time in La.

I don't think this is going to be a nice time.

Those who play big time politics in the Capitol City are starting to become real messy.

Everyone just needs to go up in the grandstands, sit on the top bleacher and eat their popcorn and keep their mouths shut.

But no one is going to listen to me, except me.
