Well, Folks, I am still here.....
Work has been busy, politics has been busier..... which makes the world go around down here in Louisiana..
I celebrated 43 years of continual Public Service a week ago... i surpassed another friend, who retired at 42.5 years of public service....
I started my service working in the Pool Room at Lee Hall (which is no longer, turned down) on the campus of Southeastern Louisiana University http://www.southeastern.edu
I believe the pay was $1.65 an hour, as time went on, I became a dorm proctor having my room and board paid for by the university.... I was living good in 1974... six pack of Schlitz Beer..was a Buck 85..... dozen boil crabs was 5 Bucks... couldn't go wrong there... Public Service was just beginning... and Life was Good...
Let's hope the Ride continues.... for a lil While....
Bricks on the Red..... The Ramblings and Writings, here on the Bricks, in the Lil' City by the Red. Written in the Tempo of My Native Tongue of the Felicianas.

Lent and No Meat Fridays
Well its Lent.....
I gave up chocolate this year.........
The bite size Snickers, Butterfingers, M&Ms, candy bowls around the office are not getting hit by me.....
Also, to provide for the unfortunate, in giving to an act of kindness without anyone's knowledge.....
I will give to the local soup kitchen some money to provide for the homeless, a cash donation...
I am ordering my Friday noon meal from the Cathedral here, they fry fish each Friday...
I'm waiting till Easter Sunday to break open those Heavenly Hash bars, made in Ponchatoula, La by Elmer's Candy Company http://www.elmerchocolate.com
Its a tradition around The Camp...
