Tax Man is Wanting his Money...

Gee... I have to make the pilgrimage to the Post Office this morning to mail the taxes off to Uncle Sam..... Yuck.... Yuck....

Now the fairly good news is that I do not Owe Governor Edwards any tax money... .. he owes me just a small pittance.  ... tiny... maybe I can buy some groceries with it... a bottle or two of wine.

I try not to pay, but every year for the last few, few years... I've had to write that Check...to Dear Uncle Sam.

Yuck .... Yuck....

Well, I am leaving tomorrow to go to a staff retreat over in Covington, La which is in the forks of the Bogue Fayala River and the Tchefuncte River... only Louisiana Folks know how to pronounce it.. Bo Ga Fay Lie Ah,  Tah  Func Tee,  you can't get the accent down..u have to kind of muddle it.

Should be interesting.... at lest there will be a couple of good restaurants in the area.

Rollin on The Red

Well, not much has been happening other than, I have been fighting the bugs of Louisiana.  Living in the Deep Deep South, in a sub tropical climate, you have to endure a few minor displeasures... one being a variety of insects.

I have had to fumigate the house this year due to the nasty lil critter, called a carpet beetle.  ... Yuck... its all I can say.

Other news here from the Lil City by the Red.... is the Red itself.  The below two photographs were shot today as the Red crested... at almost near capacity.... the highest since 1948

So many things have happened over the last week........


After my news of last Friday, I was convinced that the Rapid Test I had taken in Up River indicated I had syphilis.

I was convinced that the Rapid Test was the best test to take and all results were solid. correct in all ways................

So, my Local Lesbian Doctor, decided, that she would run a confirmatory test.... I was thinking she was running a test for my Titer Levels.....

Well Well.... its so happens that I am Not Positive for syphilis I submit my results that I received yesterday from the Good Lesbian Doctor here in the Lil City by the Red.....

So I sent the test results to the Center, the Gay Man Wellness Center,  in Up River.... to receive this email back from the guy who took my blood and read my test.............

"Mr Thompson,

I will correct my results in our records, I do appreciate that you sent me results from the blood draw! This is something that happens often with the rapid SHC test! That's why we always ask the individual to do a conformation!!

I got out of the house today, to go up to Iatt Lake... for the last ten years its has been my paddling lake for kayaking... it is sort of a combination lake-swamp.  The northern boundary is connected to the National Forest.  

Well here is what I found.... The landing had been consumed by aquatic growth...... Not What I Wanted.....

Ramblings on a Saturday Morning ... in the Lil City By the Red...........

Yesterday, I went to the dermatologist, Up River, my skin condition continues to improve with some help from the creams of modern medicine.

I usually, Usually I say, don't speak of any of my medical conditions. However,  I was long overdue for Biggie Test.

While I was Up River, I called my friend, the executive director of the Gay Men's Wellness Center, in Up River.

There on March 4th, my journey, begins again.

In the last year or so, I have let myself out of my self imposed isolation and "Tripped the Light Fantastic", in a Sort of Way that I released a lot of Life Quests, Demons hiding behind the corners of a Life,  and  a Life Passed Over ...for a Career ...

I,  somehow, contributed some of this to my dear ex partner that passed away, in June 2015.. John always said I never Really Really Lived.... Well...........   John Did... he was just unfortunate  Not to Have Lived to Old Age.... that is another Story.

I have been fairly sexually active over  my Life Time, I mean, we are in the Land of the Big Easy, which includes RawHide on the corner of Saint Ann and then The  Phoenix down on Elysian Fields,  however, I did venture into the Unknown Land of Twilight, in the past year......

When you have a Career that imposes it's Will on the People, you tend to live in a cocoon.....

There are Taboos that one never crosses in that Career.........

Last year I crossed, crisscrossed, circled, stood up, laid down, and Experienced Life.... OutSide of that Cocoon.....

Even tho, my sexual preferences changed in the past few years, I began to  eat a lot of ass and suck a lot of cock....in my past life and especially in the Last Year... when you have had prostate cancer.... you turn to other Options.  I did always consider myself a Top Vers... but prostate cancer tends to make you choose other options...

With all that being said..... I was negative for the Biggie Test---- HIV,   however, I did pick up a lil tag.....

I, want the readers of this blog to understand, I Don't take light of This Situation, but one must put this in a perspective in so many Ways...... I, am doing that..... Now.....

The Results of the Other Test.......... I had a  positive reactive for syphilis.....

I've tracked it down to about a few nights and who....... I have informed the two guys... one actually called me last week and told me he had contracted the S... from a mutual acquaintance of Ours.

I am very aware of my new positive reactive test, my experiences in the past career brought me in contact with the State medical department that handled STD.

I will see this week, what my, Titer Level is and What Stage I have....

Then take the first round of the Penicillin G.  Its a narrow spectrum penicillin for syphilis and other things...

So, the Big Government, which I was a part of, and to some extent still operate, will Now Track Me, I will have the Office of State Health come to my door, knock and ask all these questions, Who, When, How......

You know that They, the Powers at Be, Big Brother .... tell you its an anonymous test, but only if you are negative reactive... in either case...

Life Sometimes withOut Hazards is Not a Learning Experience...

Certainly, it give me more topics to write in this Blog.....
