Labs, Decisions, Etc

Last month in the late part of October I had a lil set back with my meds, I  at was at 75 on the scale headed towards non detectable.... then for some reason, missed meds, wrong times, etc.. I went up the scale to 601.

Today, I  had blood work to see if I have come down the scale.  My hope is I am heading back to non detectable status which is 20 and below.

My PSA test came in yesterday, I have fallen from 1.7 to a 1.0  this is the lowest I have ever been.  I am due for another MRI of the prostate in San Antonio in Feburary 2018 and another follow up appointment.

So, I hope the New Year and the coming month bring news of continuing improving health.

On the other hand, I have been sort of a brave soul, I have shared my status with a few other folks.  Living in the policitcal world is tough sometimes, I've been a part of it for now 44 years.  Being attached to an elected official, you have to be on  guard For Him or Her. So the other day, I sat down with the command structure and spoke of my status.  It's an election year soon, here in about  24 months, I didn't want my status to be a henderance with the Opposition, redneck, evil, gay basher opponents that we could have.  Since I am third in the command structure... I'm in the thick of it all.... it was a difficult decision, but one that I choose to make, rather than having some one  confronted the offical in a forum, he or she being caught off guard.

ok is ok

Life is ok in the Lil City by the Red... ok is ok.....

Fall is coming to Louisiana... by the hardest... our days are becoming a lil bit cooler. I had the yard man cut the banana trees down before any freeze gets here... they are very messy if they are hit by a even a lite frost.

I had a lil set back in my viral load count, not sure, could have been mistaking the two meds late for a week or so.... my doctor reminded me that i need to take them within about 30 minutes of each day at the same time.... I went from undetectable to 601...  So I am back to a strict regiment on taking them.

Other than the above life is continuing to be ok..... quiet evenings, a few friends stopping by.  I was checking my wine storage, which is located in my home office, I have a Transtherm cellar there.  In the past few years, I have brought wine from Last Bottle, its an internet web site that sells wine.  They hold the wine for you during the summer months, so in the next few weeks, I should be getting my shipment for the year.  I think I have about 5 cases of a variety of reds and a few whites.

However, my wine drinking and purchasing has slowed down since I was diagnosed +.  Life has changed in that area a good bit....

Life is ok... work is work.... I was moved to a front office that looks onto the plaza of the courthouse. From my view I can see the Catholic Catherdal and one of the large Baptist Churches in the downtown area.
